A facilities committee was established in 2023, consisting of dedicated members who regularly met to assess the current state of the facilities at Brazos ISD. The committee carefully toured the campuses, identified areas in need of improvement, and engaged in thoughtful discussions regarding necessary upgrades and enhancements. Their goal was to develop a comprehensive plan that would address the district's immediate and long-term facility needs, ensuring a safe, modern and efficient learning environment for students and staff.

THE PROPOSED BOND CAN BE FUNDED WITHOUT RAISING THE CURRENT TAX RATE.

This will ensure minimal impact on the Wallis/Orchard communities. Brazos ISD's tax rate will remain at $0.9569.

HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS

For residents 65 years and older, their school district tax bill will not increase, even if property values rise (excluding property improvements), provided they have an approved Homestead and Over-65 Exemption application on file with the County Appraisal District and the property is owned as of January 1st of the tax year. Significant improvements to the property can affect the tax bill.
